Educational/Career
Background:
Dr. Nanavati established Advanced Gastroenterology of Naples, P.A. and
is a specialist in all aspects of digestive disease, particularly pancreaticobiliary
endoscopy. He also performs both diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopic
ultrasound.
A honors graduate of Johns Hopkins University, Dr. Nanavati continued
his studies at the University of
Vermont College of Medicine in Burlington, Vermont, receiving his medical
degree in 1998. He completed his internship and residency in the Department
of Medicine at the Greater Baltimore Medical Center in Baltimore. In 2001,
Dr. Nanavati joined the fellowship program at the Baylor College of Medicine,
Houston, Texas.
He was subsequently appointed as faculty at Baylor and remained at the
program. Dr. Nanavati has since trained further in endoscopic ultrasound
at the University of Montreal.
Dr. Nanavati is a member of the American Gastroenterologic Association,
American College of Gastroenterology, American Medical Association and
Collier Medical Society.
